Nature reserve:

Our small natural refuge, which extends from the main dam to the mountain slope of Wolfhuiskop has been cleared of alien invasive vegetation and therefore provides space for numerous fynbos plants and various bird, mammal, reptile, amphibian and insect species to flourish. We are passionate about preserving this habitat and we enjoy sharing it with you. Please keep your dogs leashed when walking the trails. We have bird, plant and insect lists available for guests who are interested in these topics.

Pets:

Because we love to take our dogs Nala and Leo (both Ridgebacks, 8 and 6 years old) on holidays, we allow guests in some of our units to bring along their pets. At the same time, we also cater to guests without pets and maintain a nature reserve. Therefore, we reserve the right to limit the number of pets on our property. All pets must be under control when they are outside your unit. As a courtesy to others, we ask that you clean up after your animal family members. Do not hesitate to ask us about where to dispose of any litter. In addition, we request that you do not allow your pets on furniture or bedding in consideration of the next guests. Thank you very much for your understanding.

Power outages:

Several of the bedside lamps in the units have battery back-up globes. To charge, keep them on for a few hours when there is power. Also remember to charge the rechargeable emergency light provided. Please do not light the battery-powered wax candles with matches. There is a switch on the bottom. We may be without water during load shedding when the municipal water pumps are not working. We apologize for this inconvenience.

Rubbish removal:

Once your rubbish bag is full, please knot it and place it on the stand or wheely bin near your unit. You may dispose of your organic waste in the wooden compost bins provided.
Please do not feed wild birds or animals.

Sewage:

Help us to prevent blockages of the drains by placing only toilet paper in the toilet. Place sanitary pads, tampons, nappies and the like in the bin.

Water and fire:

Thank you for using water conscientiously and for being firewise, especially when braaiing outside on windy days. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground, in garden beds or in the nature reserve. Please dispose of them along with household rubbish.
